Programs

Our Programs

We are proud to offer an extensive range of programs and events that cater to the diverse interests of our student community. Whether you are looking for social gatherings or discussions about religion, we have something for you! Our events cover a wide range of topics, including everything from cultural celebrations to thought-provoking lectures.
At our institution, we do not adhere to any particular religious doctrine. However, we firmly believe in providing our students with opportunities to learn and question as they explore their faith. Through interactive discussions and in-depth study sessions, we aim to foster a sense of community and provide a safe space for students to explore their beliefs.
Our social activities are designed to bring people together and create a sense of belonging on campus. From game nights and movie screenings to potlucks and picnics, we offer plenty of opportunities to connect with fellow students and build lifelong friendships. So, whether you are looking to expand your social circle or deepen your faith, we have a program or event that is perfect for you!

Worship@UCM
Join us for worship at UCM on Sundays at 6:30 PM. Our relaxed and friendly service welcomes all. We are a diverse community of students exploring faith together. Come connect with us through hymns, prayers, and inspiring sermons. Find purpose and meaning in a supportive community that values and welcomes everyone. See you at our Tuesday service, your new home away from home.

Bible Study
We study scripture directly from the Bible, like The Book of Revelation to John, or through books, such as Velvet Elvis by Rob Bell or Jesus, The Bible, and Homosexuality by Jack Rogers.

Theological Discussions
During these discussions we explore many different topics and life in general with everyone having the chance to offer their own opinion. While we do not try to change core beliefs, but we do try to introduce the possibilities of different views. We gain a better understanding of ourselves and others as well as how God works within us and in our lives.

Retreats
This is an all-time favorite. During this time, we explore many different topics and life in general, with everyone having the chance to offer their opinion. While we do not try to change core beliefs, we try to introduce the possibilities of different views. We gain a better understanding of ourselves and others, as well as how god works within us and in our lives.

Study For Class
Do you need a quiet place to study? Do you need access to the Internet? Do you need comfortable couches or lots of table space? If so, we have the place for you. UCM offers all of these and more. We have a full kitchen available for a full meal or just a quick snack (we just ask that you clean up afterward). During finals week of the fall and spring semesters, we are open 24 hours a day (many students stay all night, and we do have a shower available).

Movies and Games
Movies and Games are purely social events designed for entertainment and interaction. Sometimes planned, but more often spontaneous and usually just a one-night thing, Movie Night can span several days, such as our Star Wars or Marvel marathons. There is no admission, and everything is free.

Food 4 Thought
F4T is our largest outreach program at UCM. Every Wednesday during the fall and spring semesters, we invite the students, staff, faculty, and administration of Angelo State University and Howard College to join us for a free lunch. From 11 AM to 2 PM, we offer a FREE meal provided by one of our sponsoring congregations or cooked in our own kitchen. This is one of our most popular programs.
